Key Account Manager
Location: National, with frequent travel to the Gloucester office
By producing a range of product that meets the market requirements on quality, availability and merchandising we are now experiencing significant growth across our key customer areas. In order to maximise this and to ensure we maintain our high levels of customer service we are now looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to liaise and build strong relationships with our customers.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a history of selling to retailers in the UK, ideally in the Horticulture or related industries. Drive and passion for success are some of the key ingredients we are looking for. The role provides the candidate with the exciting opportunity to build upon the existing relationship with National Account customers whilst continually seeking to drive new business and to develop new potential accounts.
You will be a professional with knowledge of the sector and the passion to drive the business forward, keeping abreast of Horticultural trends and developments and representing the Glendale Horticulture brand. Horticultural Nursery Grower - Fretherne (with Quality Assurance responsibilities)
Based: Fretherne, Gloucestershire
Salary: Circa £19k dependant on experience
Glendale Horticulture manages eleven nurseries across the UK & is one of the UK’s leading growers. Fretherne site is presently the principal distribution hub for Garden Centre business.
This job role will report to the Nursery Production Manager who has responsibility for all Garden Centre product with core aspects of the role including:
Take responsibility for all aspects of on-site plant and product production
Working closely with New Product Development (NPD), taking responsibility for maintenance/care of trials
Provide crop performance data for management reports
Planning, application and monitoring of crop irrigation, fertiliser, and crop health
Ownership / further development of quality control procedures, involving close liaison and outbound travel to nurseries
Production and maintenance of product specification process and control
Monitoring of product despatch from Fretherne, ensuring quality & quantity is maintained
This is a development role, likely to suit an accomplished yet more junior grower seeking to expand their responsibilities and influence within a business, with the ability to influence and command respect and be capable of taking initiative and continually improving operational activity.

Amenity Sales Executive
Based: Glendale Horticulture, Tonbridge, Kent
Salary: Dependent on skills and competencies
Glendale’s activities include grounds management, countryside management, landscaping, horticulture and golf course management.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, and working out of our Tonbridge office in Kent, we are looking for an Amenity Sales Executive, to sell our Trees, Shrubs, Herbaceous and Bedding Plants into the Landscape Contractors, Architects and Local Authority marketplace.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career within the horticultural sector. The ideal candidate will possess good IT skills, plant knowledge and preferably have demonstrable relevant experience of horticulture sales. You will have an open and friendly personality with the ability to establish and develop relationships with customers and clearly identify their requirements.
