Sales Administrator
Based: 
Fretherne, Gloucestershire

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join our team!

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • To provide professional support to the sales team and the sales office.  

  • To deal with all incoming enquiries

  • To process a high volume of product orders

  • Checking prices are up to date

  • To liaise with clients, work closely with sales staff and other departments of the company to ensure the successful completion of sales orders,

  • To undertake all administrative tasks related to the role and in support of the sales teams including producing reports/order summaries.

  • Ensure phone calls are answered as necessary and messages are relayed and enquiries dealt with.

  • To process all customer credit requests, and record customer shortages/complaints/compliments as required

Key skills:

  • Sales ordering /data entry software experience desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and good telephone manner. Open, friendly polite and courteous manner

  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple work priorities

  • Customer focused.

  • Flexible with working times to be able to cover Office requirements and the demands of the peak season

  • Strong IT skills. Accuracy and attention to detail

Key Account Manager 
Location: 
National, with frequent travel to the Gloucester office

Glendale Horticulture, supported by three long-standing Horticulture Brands Meredith’s, Coblands, and Mahood’s, is one of the UK’s leading growers with sales in excess of £10 million. Glendale Horticulture is part of the larger Glendale Group with a turnover in excess of £150 million.

By producing a range of product that meets the market requirements on quality, availability and merchandising we are now experiencing significant growth across our key customer areas. In order to maximise this and to ensure we maintain our high levels of customer service we are now looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to liaise and build strong relationships with our customers.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a history of selling to retailers in the UK, ideally in the Horticulture or related industries. Drive and passion for success are some of the key ingredients we are looking for. The role provides the candidate with the exciting opportunity to build upon the existing relationship with National Account customers whilst continually seeking to drive new business and to develop new potential accounts.

You will be a professional with knowledge of the sector and the passion to drive the business forward, keeping abreast of Horticultural trends and developments and representing the Glendale Horticulture brand. Transport Support Administrator

Based: Fretherne, Gloucestershire

Glendale’s activities include grounds management, countryside management, landscaping, horticulture and golf course management.

Glendale Horticulture manages eleven nurseries across the UK, with seven nurseries spread throughout the Vale of Evesham, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, two further sites in Kent and two in Lancashire. The company is one of the UK’s leading growers.

Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Work closely with the Transport Manager to learn systems & provide necessary support.

  • Printing & processing production related paperwork (Driver’s paperwork / delivery notes ).

  • Undertake typing of correspondence/reports etc and other administrative duties as required.

  • Checking incoming driver packs and general data entry

  • Assist with and understand the load planning process

  • Ordering stock for sales order dispatch

  • Co-ordinating nursery collections

  • Booking and briefing drivers and contractors

  • Driver induction training

  • Tachograph data management

  • Dealing with vehicle maintenance and breakdowns

  • Covering out of hours calls

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communicator at all levels

  • Ability to work under pressure with strict attention to detail

  • Team player

  • Flexibility - hours will vary with the demands of this highly seasonal business

  • Conscientious, organised, articulate and methodical

Amenity Sales Executive

Based: Tonbridge, Kent

Salary: Dependent on skills and competencies

Glendale Horticulture manages eleven nurseries across the UK, with seven nurseries spread throughout the Vale of Evesham, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, two further sites in Kent and two in Lancashire. The company is one of the UK’s leading growers.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, and working out of our Tonbridge office in Kent, we are looking for an Amenity Sales Executive, to sell our Trees, Shrubs, Herbaceous and Bedding Plants into the Landscape Contractors, Architects and Local Authority marketplace.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career within the horticultural sector.  The ideal candidate will possess good IT skills, plant knowledge and preferably have demonstrable relevant experience of horticulture sales. You will have an open and friendly personality with the ability to establish and develop relationships with customers and clearly identify their requirements.
